About Jacob

I am a writer who helps organizations and individuals share their stories, insights, and knowledge with their customer and stakeholder communities.  I specialize in simplifying complex messages and helping my clients identify issues that their audiences care about.

Prior to taking on writing as a second career over a decade ago, I worked in corporate sales for technology firms like HP and Unisys.  The direct and often pointed feedback I got from customers about our marketing materials taught me that marketing should really be a two-way conversation.  Fortunately, we now have the tools to support this approach, and everybody can afford them.

I serve corporate clients ranging from small independents to multinationals such as Dell, Microsoft, Pitney-Bowes, and Fujitsu, and contribute regularly to business publications such as CMA Management Magazine, Profit Magazine, Medical Design, and Banking Strategies.
